Happy Friday! Who is ready for December and all the festivities? December holds a special place in my heart. It is when my family comes together and when my fiancé proposed to me last year. That story is for another time. I wanted to share with you all my family tradition. My family is from Bolivia and we celebrate Christmas slightly different from here. The main celebration starts on Christmas Eve. We get together with our families, go to church, and indulge in a delicious dinner. While the grown ups stay at the table talking, laughing, and eating pasteles (my favorite Bolivian pastry) with tea and coffee, the little ones take a nap. This is when Santa comes and places the presents under the tree. A little before midnight, the grown ups wake up the little ones and we all head over to the Christmas tree and nativity. Once midnight hits, we all do a prayer and give each other hugs and kisses. Then we give each person a present to open. We probably end up staying up until 1:30 AM. For some people, that might be way over their bedtime but it is so worth it. On Christmas day, we take it easy and relax. We also come together for more pasteles (I'm telling you they are super delicious.)
This Christmas Eve you'll find me prancing around and eating pasteles in my red Tobi dress. I am happy to have found the perfect shade of red. I admit I am picky when it comes to the color red in clothing especially dresses. You can ask my fiancé, I barely have red in my closet. My closet mostly consists of white, black, and pink. This super cute off the should dress is comfortable and goes great with a pair of heels or with over the knee boots. If you are looking for a red dress for the holidays, definitely check this red dress out.
