Hi friends! Good news guys, the radio said there will be sunshine tomorrow and Friday...finally! Besides hearing the radio for the weather this morning, I heard a great interview with Sherry Lansing. If you haven't heard of her before, lets just say she was the first female head of a major motion picture studio, Paramount Pictures. Can you say #girlboss? In the interview she speaks about her experience working in the movie industry and how it all started. She also talks about why she decided to leave the movie business and pursue her foundation in cancer research and public education. She mentioned in the interview, "Life is about chapters and life is about starting new things." I found this so inspiring and wanted to share it with you all! There is nothing wrong with pursuing new hobbies and new passions when you are 30, 40, 50 years old. Go for it! Perhaps those passions were there but you were too busy at the time and didn't really give it any attention. *To hear more about the interview check it out here.
Okay, enough with my ranting. If you are a lover of avocado and/or pink velvet skirts you must add these two items to your wardrobe. The avocado top is so comfortable and goes with just about anything. Did I tell you it is only $12? Such a great deal! I decided to dress it up with a cute pink skater velvet skirt and white heels. This outfit is perfect for rooftop hopping in DC in the summer. I wore heels with this outfit but you could throw on a white pair of sneakers. Make the outfit more casual. My goal with this outfit was chic, fun, and summer vibes.
xoxo,
The Vero St.
