Happy Sunday! Hope you all had a great weekend. We went to a friends wedding in Norfolk, Virginia. We had such a wonderful time at the wedding. So much love and happiness. I can't wait to start planning mine.
I am the type of person who loves to do her research before heading to a new place. Therefore, before going to the wedding I did my research and found a restaurant that I wanted to check out. Thankfully, today on our way back we had time to stop and see what they hype is all about. Toast is a hidden gem and I recommend it. Very hipster with cute decor. Their menu consists of savory meals served on thick slices of toast. I got their "Eggy Dub" which was bacon, sunny side up eggs, cheese, and ricotta on a thick slice of toast with a side of kale salad. My fiance got the "SOS Plate" which consisted of toast with gravy, meatballs, and sunny side up eggs. Sooo good! Lastly, we shared their "Churro" dish which consisted of dulce de leche butter, cinnamon sugar, nutella milk, and malt choco ice cream. I was a little hesitant with the idea of dessert on a piece of toast but it worked so well and it was delicious. Overall, a great brunch experience.
So random but I almost forgot, the women's bathroom! I literally walked into a room with a floral wall paper and a disco ball. Seriously, the best bathroom ever. Oh and they also had great jams playing.
Remember whenever you find yourself in Norfolk, Va to check out this spot!
xoxo,
The Vero St.
