Miracle on 7th Street Christmas Bar!

Now that everyone has recovered from all the turkey eating and Black Friday shopping, it's time to get into the Christmas spirit. What better way to start celebrating Christmas than going out to three bars in DC fully decked out in holiday cheer called "Miracle on 7th Street." Seriously, drop everything and head on out to DC. This is the second year that Derek Brown and his team have made this event happen. I warn you there will be a line so plan ahead. I promise you that the line is worth the wait. Once, you get your ID checked and your bracelet on, you will have access to all three bars and each bar has its own theme. The decorations and lighting are so cute! It really got me into the holiday spirit. Actually, as a side note, I admit I already went Christmas shopping today and bought presents for my nieces. Back to "Miracle on 7th Street," the cocktails are so good and they come in adorable cups and mugs of Santa Claus, snowmen, penguins, etc. Make sure to order drink numbers 5 and 6, which are always in high demand. When we got to the bar they were sold out. Do not fret if they sell out because there are other unique drinks that are awesome as well. Feeling hungry? Good news, they have food! We got the apple and brie grilled cheese sandwich and it was so yummy. Go out with your friends, enjoy a cocktail, take pictures, and have a great time!

Night at the Museum

Happy Friday! Cheers to the weekend! Now go grab yourself a glass of bubbly or rosè and enjoy today's post. Last week I attended "Evenings at the Edge" an the National Gallery of Art (see my other post here at the National Gallery of Art.) Before I attended this event, I had never been in a museum at night. I can finally check that off my bucket list. I know it's not a big deal, but there is something special about going to a museum at night (just like Ben Stiller's movie "A Night at the Museum" haha!). The evening consisted of wine, art, pictures, performances, and DJs. Definitely a night to remember. Be on the look out for upcoming events and make it a fun date night or ladies night. Click here to check out other events at Smithsonian DC museums. Yes, some events may land on a week day but so what, we gotta live a little. Explore your city!

Emporiyum at Union Market

Hello friends! I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I am pretty excited for some turkey and pumpkin pie! Speaking of food I wanted to share my adventure in DC this past weekend with you. My boyfriend and I ended up going to the Emporiyum with two of our friends. The Emporiyum is a food marketplace that showcases food, drinks, and treats from around the country. The event is held annually in Washington, DC and Baltimore. I attended the event in DC and let me tell you, there was SO much delicious food to choose from. I may have gained 5 pounds that day, but it was worth it. We had Maketto x Shake Shack chicken burgers, Maketto ramen soup and dumpling, Pinch dumplings, Ramen Burger, Luke's lobster, chocolate, snacks here and there, mimosas, coconut cocktails, falooda, and so much more! They also had an awesome DJ playing some great tunes. Overall, it was a lovely morning filled with great music, exotic drinks, yummy food, and great company. What more can a girl ask for? Make sure to attend the next one! I know I will.

Fall Camo Outfit

Happy Thursday! Hope you all are having a wonderful week! Lately, the trees have begun showing their beautiful fall colors and mornings have become more and more brisk, which means I can finally wear layers and sweaters. What better way to capture the beautiful colors than with a fall outfit. I believe every girl should have a camo top in their closet because it gives you an edgy look and it goes well with white, black, or blue jeans. Check out the details for the outfit below!

Also, aren't these pictures great or what?! My friend Doug took them and I couldn't be any happier with them. If you're looking for a photographer for an engagement, wedding, or special event contact him! You can check out more of his work on his instagram (@dfunesphoto).

Top 3 Places to Visit in Barcelona

Hello friends! I'm finally sharing my adventures in Barcelona. Better late than never, right? It was my first time visiting Spain in August and let's just say I brought home memories that I will cherish forever. We were there for 3 days so we had limited time to see everything we wanted. We decided to do our research and choose our top 3 places we wanted to see and they were the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, and La Pedrera. All these three pieces of architecture are from one of the must renowned and creative architects, Antoni Gaudi. His work can be found all over Barcelona. Honestly, the pictures do not do it justice. You'll need to book your flight ticket to Barcelona to witness the greatness yourselves.

Sagrada Familia

Sagrada Familia is a massive Roman Catholic church that was first constructed in 1882. Surprisingly, the church is not complete! It is still currently under construction and it probably won't be done until 2026. To read more about the history click here.
