New Jrink in Clarendon!

Do you love fresh cold-pressed juice or delicious superfood bowls? Jrink just opened up a new location in Clarendon. It is the cutest spot ever. Let me begin with their wall that says, "oh the places you'll go."  Absolutely love! The decor is really nice inside.  Also, if you don't want to get out of your car, no worries, they have a drive thru. This time around we ordered both the acai bowl and ocean blue tropical bowl which were delicious! So happy to have a cute Jrink close to me. I know I will be visiting often.

National Gallery of Art - East Building
is Now Open!

Happy Saturday! Now that the temperature is dropping, I recommend you visit the newly renovated National Gallery of Art (NGA). You can not only witness the incredible array of art it holds, but stay warm indoors if you aren't ready for the Fall/Winter yet. The main reason to go is to check out the grand re-opening of the East Side building. So many new things to see! I always enjoy coming to this building as it takes me back to when my boyfriend and I started dating. We would (and still do) go on dates to the NGA and hold hands to admire priceless work of art. He is kind of a modern art buff, or so he likes to think he is, and tells me all about the history and background on the artists. Thanks to him I know more about modern art and appreciate it even more. Okay, back to the new side of the gallery. The rave and talk about the renovated building is the giant, electric blue rooster on the rooftop (Hahn/Cock (2013) by Katherine Fritsch). In simple terms, it is big and awesome! You must go see it and take a ton of fun pictures (don't by shy, take a bunch of selfies). Warning: It can be hard to get a picture of just you and the rooster since it is the main attraction so try to get there early or visit the NGA on a weekday. Here's a preview of what you will be able to see. Whew, just check out these stairs! Enjoy!

All Fall Things at Cox Farms

Looking to engage in some traditional Halloween festivities? I suggest you go out to a good ole pumpkin patch. I'm all about pumpkins (not just PSLs), apple cider, and food. This past weekend I went to Cox Farms located in Centreville with my boyfriend and two of our close friends. My two recommendations before you plan your trip is to get there EARLY when they open (10:00am) and to buy your tickets online. Otherwise, you will be waiting in line for a while. This is our second year going to Cox Farms. We always have a blast! You can feed goats, pet cows, and alpacas (yes--alpacas!), go down fun slides, eat apple cider donuts, eat nachos with chilli, and pick out a free pumpkin on your way out. You can also purchase their huge pumpkins if you are willing to pay $60-$80. I really hope you guys can make it out before October is over, it is well worth the trip.

Looking for Cambodian and Taiwanese
Food in DC?
Head on Over to Maketto

Happy Friday! I don't know about you all, but I am looking forward to a R&R weekend and let's not forget eating. Speaking of eating, I wanted to share with you all a Cambodian and Taiwanese restaurant + retail store + cafe (yes, all 3-in-1) called Maketto. The decor in here is minimalistic and clean. When you walk in they have retail clothing (menswear only) but it is still fun to look through their selections. As you continue to walk through Maketto you reach their bar/dining area that leads into an outdoor deck and eventually ends in a closed dining area where the kitchen is located. I'm not done yet. The front of the restaurant has a staircase that leads you to their cafe! My boyfriend and I had a great experience and the food was delicious! Trust me this was my first time having Cambodian and Taiwanese food. If you haven't tried it and like to venture, you will enjoy the food. See below for pictures of the food we ordered!

In Jardin Du Palais Royal with
My Little Pink Dress

Hello friends! I promise this is my last Paris post. I cannot wait to share my trip to Barcelona with you all very soon. In the meantime, here is a post about our adventure at Jardin du Palais Royal. This is another one of my favorite parks that my boyfriend and I came across when we were on our trip. It is a great place to take pictures, walk around, have a picnic, and enjoy some ice cream. We stopped by a little market on our way and picked up fruits as well as croissants at a bakery. It was a relaxing and romantic afternoon. If I could repeat this day, I would do it all over again. Enjoy the pictures!

Musee du Louvre

People were not kidding when they told me that Musee du Louvre is one of the world's largest museums. If you were determined to see all of the art that the treasured Louvre holds, it would probably take you three days and you still might miss some gems! With it being my first time in Paris, my boyfriend and I had a number of places we wanted to see and we decided that spending a couple of hours in the Louvre was a must. On this trip we were able to see the Egyptian antiques (which included a real mummy), Roman and Greek statues, and the beautiful Mona Lisa. As a heads up, when you see the Mona Lisa, there will be a sea of people there. Be patient, you will get to the front eventually but it will feel like you are at a jam-packed concert venue. Little on time? Do not fret, just get a map and make a list of the top exhibits you want to see beforehand. We took the time to do this and it was well worth it. We hope to come back again to see more of the exhibits we missed.
