Hustle 2.0

If you love art as much as I do, put down Lab 1270 on your must visit list. Go check out their current exhibition called "Hustle 2.0." The exhibit showcases the work of local artists in DC such as Kelly Towles who will also be in town for Pow! Wow! DC (another event you'll want to attend.)  "Hustle 2.0" will be on display until June 13th. I came out Saturday night for Aylin's (creator and founder of sevcities) event which was a lot of fun! There was a DJ playing them beats, a bar with speciality drinks, and some great art.

Also, you don't want to miss out on the Pow! Wow! DC opening celebration event taking place on May 21st from 11am - 6pm. Local and international artists will be painting murals all over NoMa. It will be full of art, food and music. For more information click here :)

Book that Ticket & Travel

Summer is right around the corner and I'm too excited! Traveling has been on my mind like no other. It is so easy to get busy and not plan in advance. If you've been having a place you've been wanting to go, just click and purchase your ticket already! My ultimate goal for this summer is to have many weekend getaways and hopefully end it with an awesome trip to a new country or two. We only have one life so lets be adventurous. We must do what our little hearts desire. There are so many beautiful countries, each with their own uniqueness and culture. They are waiting to show off their recipes, dances, and traditions with us.

DIY Succulent/Floral Wreath

Hello lovelies! Hope you have been having a wonderful weekend! One of my girlies texted me a couple weeks ago asking if I wanted to make a succulent wreath with her. I immediately said yes! I love DIY projects especially if they involve succulents. I was literally counting down the days to get together to work on our wreaths. For the supplies we went to AC Moore and Michaels, they have wreaths with different sizes. It's up to you how big you want yours to be. We got a medium size. The stores didn't carry many options for succulents, so definitely try to order online here. You'll also find a lot of options for flowers if you want to add them on your wreath. I know that Mother's Day is right around the corner, this would be a perfect gift for your mom. It can also be a gift for a good friend or yourself.
