Tis the Season for Cherry Blossoms

Lately, I've been browsing the internet for some spring shoes. I absolutely love all things that are a pastel color especially pink. One week ago, I came across two pink heels and had to order them. I have to say that one of the best feelings is when you arrive home from a long work day and find out that your heels have arrived.

I'm so excited for this spring! I feel like this winter has been the longest one and I'm done with all the layers. My Saturday consisted of taking pictures of the beautiful cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C. Many people come into town from different states to see these trees because of the history they have. The trees were a gift from Japan to the United States in 1912.

I have to admit my outfit was planned to coordinate the colors of the blossoms. Hope you enjoy the pictures. :)

In love with these two heels <3 Wearing it ALL spring and summer long

A Rainy Day in DC

There is something about Washington, D.C. that I love even when it is a gloomy and cloudy day. Perhaps it is the old historic buildings? Luckily, I am only a 25 minute drive away from the city. I hope to venture out to DC more and share my adventures with you.

On Saturday, the boyfriend and I went to see the broadway show "Annie." We absolutely loved it! The show was playing at the National Theatre. We went to a 2pm show, so afterwards we decided to stop by the W hotel for a cocktail. We had a lovely afternoon. The rain and cold weather didn't stop us. It didn't stop me from wearing my heels also. Take a look at our Saturday funday. ;)

Day Numero Tres in Miami!

Our last day finally came and we were so sad leave. Thankfully, our plane wasn't going to board til night time. We decided to go to Little Havana to do some exploring. The weather was perfect! We passed by the Domino Park and had to make a turn to check it out. There were so many elders playing dominos and they were all the sweetest. We were starting to get hungry so we headed over to "Ball & Chain" and sat in the back patio. I was instantly in love with the place. They had a pineapple stage. CUTEST THING EVER. Of course, I took tons of pictures...typical of me. :P My friend and I got our mojitos and they were great. After a wonderful lunch, we headed next door to "Azucar" for ice cream. They have so many interesting and delicious flavors. I ended up getting the mulatica (cinnamon oatmeal cookie.) I wish I brought some home with me...if only ice cream didn't melt. We went outside to enjoy our ice creams and noticed that there was a band playing some salsa. I just couldn't stand and watch, my feet starting to move. Next thing I know, I was dancing some salsa. Definitely, a great end to my trip! Hope you enjoy the pictures. :)

Trip to Miami - Day 2

Miami always has events going on, so when you are planning a trip make sure to look up what is going on that weekend. Great website to find things to do: http://www.miamiandbeaches.com/things-to-do

Luckily, South Beach Wine and Food festival was happening the weekend of our stay. My bestie Darsh and I were super excited to attend this event. Day two consisted of us eating, drinking, watching demonstrations from Chefs, book signings, and great music. After a wonderful time at the festival we walked around South Beach. We also went to Lincoln Rd for some shopping and a stop at Laduree for macarons.  Enjoy the pictures!

Girls Weekend Trip To Miami - Day 1

Bienvenidos a M I A M I! So last weekend my bestie and I went to Miami. She texted me about two weeks before our trip and asked me if I wanted to go. I was like "heck yes!" It was great timing because I needed a break from class and work.  Also, my birthday was that coming week. Like my friend and I say #treatyourself. Honestly, a girls weekend getaway was just perfect. We didn't really plan except for the South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Yes, we are both foodies. :P

There is so much to do in Miami. I'll share my favorite places to visit. To start off, please do check out Jungle Island. It's an interactive zoo, let's just say we got to pet and feed kangaroos. Here is the link for further information: https://www.jungleisland.com/
